ContraindicationsThere is one case report where pycnogenol improved the response to dextroamphetamine in a child with attention deficit disorder (ADD).

Pregnancy and Nursing: Generally regarded as safe during pregnancy and lactation. However, as the effects of PCOs (procyanidolic oligomers - found in grapeseed extract and pycnogenol) during pregnancy and lactation have not been sufficiently evaluated, it should not be used during these times unless directed to do so by a health care practitioner.
