ContraindicationsThere have been no reports of any adverse drug interactions with glucosamine sulfate.
The only caveat is that individuals taking diuretics may need to take higher dosages (e.g. 20 mg per kilogram [2.2 pounds] body weight daily).
No known drug interactions with chondroitin sulfate.
Additional InformationChildren: Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfates are suitable for children at one-half the adult dosage, however the effects of MSM have not been sufficiently evaluated in children. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
Pregnancy and Nursing: Glucosamine sulfate is considered safe during pregnancy and lactation.
