Herbs that promote flushing may also stimulate uterine contractions, so the Diuretic Formula is not recommended during pregnancy, or for persons with serious kidney disease, except under the advice of a health care practitioner.
Experts recommend that uva ursi should not be taken for more than 7 days.
Juniper requires some caution because it can irritate the kidneys, especially with long-term use.
We recommend that any formula that contains juniper not be used for longer than six weeks at a time.
